What is a Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS)?
CPPS -Certified Professional Pet Sitter® is a federally-trademarked certification mark PSI (Pet Sitters International, Inc.) awards to professional pet sitters who successfully demonstrate their knowledge and skills by obtaining a passing score on the CPPS Exam and agreeing to adhere to PSI’s Recommended Quality Standards and Code of Conduct & Ethics. In PSI's Certified Professional Pet Sitter program, pet sitters learn about business operations and pet care basics including behavior and body language of dogs and cats, needs, first aid, safety, and sanitation practices. Pet sitters are also required to complete a minimum of 30 continuing education hours every three years to maintain the CPPS® designation.
